Hospice care in Fremont County was initially offered by St. Thomas More Hospital to those patients needing end of life care in Fremont County. In the mid-1980’s the hospice department merged with Sangre de Cristo Hospice in Pueblo and expanded care to those in Custer and Park Counties. The care offered has continued to grow and adapt to fit the needs that the individual communities deserve. The initial staff of 5 has grown to a team of over 25 individuals all working together to ensure that the needs of our patients and families come first.
